PROBLEM + CONCEPT

Managing a pool involves tasks such as tracking chemical levels, handling incident reports, scheduling shifts, and managing staff. Currently, these tasks are often done manually on paper, which poses risks around water and leads to inefficiencies. An online pool management system can streamline these processes, ensuring accurate data collection, better incident tracking, and improved overall management.

Waver is a mobile toolkit for lifeguards and pool managers. Designed to streamline operations, Waver allows pool employees to clock in with ease, log and review incident reports, monitor safety and cleanliness standards, and manage all aspects of pool maintenance efficiently. Simplify poolside management with Waver, your partner in creating a safer, cleaner aquatic environment.

THE CURRENT SYSTEM

                    Chemical Report                                                          Incident Reports

Why it’s a problem

Reports are stored in binders at the pool, which makes them vulnerable to water damage, smudging, or being misplaced. Multiple binders are required for chemical checks, incident reports, and rescues, creating a troublesome system where finding the right form quickly can be difficult. Staff also spend time handwriting repetitive data, which slows down the workflow and increases the chance of errors or skipped entries.

Since these records exist only in physical form, they can only be accessed on-site, limiting visibility for managers or inspectors who may need them remotely. On top of that, trends and compliance issues are hidden within handwritten logs, with no simple way to generate summaries or track patterns over time.

STYLE GUIDE

High-contrast colors are important for this app to remain visible and usable in bright sunlight. It is important to note that the app is not intended for lifeguards actively on duty in the chair, surveying the pool. Instead, it is designed for managers and lifeguards handling first aid, taking breaks, or stepping in after a rescue while another guard is covering surveillance.
